The 21 Best Double Strollers
Day to Day Double Strollers
You seriously get the best of both worlds with this stroller; it is lightweight, has all the accessories you could ever want, and is so easy to convert into whatever you need it to be. The stroller comes with a bassinet seat, which is even equipped with proper ventilation and depth for overnight sleep making this stroller perfect for travel. If you have multiples you will be able to attach 2 bassinet seats or 2 infant car seats. However, if you have a toddler and a newborn the stroller can be adapted to that as well. Just you wait, there is even more. The 2016 Vista Stroller can even hold a 3rd child with the Piggyback Ride-Along Board attachment, which allows a walker to hop on for a ride. This stroller has an answer for every scenario on top of being slick and modern in looks.
Stroller Weight: 28 lbs as a single stroller, but varies depending on attachments
Age Range: Newborn up to 50 lbs, dependent on attachments
If you’re looking for a double jogging stroller that fits all your needs, from grocery shopping to off the beaten path hikes, this is the one for you. The wheels are built to last and the hand brake is super user-friendly. A huge bonus is that the seat backs are longer meaning they can accommodate taller kids, so this stroller will last you as long as your kids will even want to sit in it. Did we mention it’s specially built to increase airflow? If you’re in hotter weather this is definitely something to take into account.
Stroller Weight: 46 lbs
Age Range: maximum capacity 100 lbs total
Joovy took their original stroller kept all the sturdiness and versatility, but lost 4 lbs to create the Joovy Caboose Ultralight. You can have two seats or convert them back to a bench or standing platform. In fact, this is the lightest sit and stand stroller on the market according to their website. On top of that it folds up easily and small enough to fit in most car trunks. This stroller reclines all the way back for nap time because Joovy understands that missing a nap can turn ugly real quick.
Stroller Weight: 23.5 lbs (WOW!)
Age Range: 90 lbs
The Chicco Cortina Together is the perfect option for anyone who needs a double stroller on a budget. It’s reasonably priced and grows with your family, from infant car seats to some of the tallest seats that exist in a double stroller making it comfortable for older children. We love that the storage bag is very large and can be zippered shut. It folds up fairly well but isn’t the best in the game. The shades are also a bit disappointing, but these are small sacrifices to make when you consider the lower cost. The stroller is still made of high-quality materials and will surely get the job done.
Stroller Weight: 34 lbs
Age Range: Up to 40 lbs in each seat
Baby Trend kept mama in mind when they finally made a double stroller with a snack tray and cup holder not only for each child but for you as well! The huge basket is perfect for storing pretty much anything else. This stroller can have two seats or the back can be switched out to a standing platform. It is a great option for parents who think their child will be growing out of a seat soon but may want to add it back on for particularly long trips. You can easily fold this stroller with one hand because with two kiddos you need all the free hands you can get.
Stroller Weight: 32.5 lbs
Age Range: Newborn (with the car seat attachment) to 2.5 years old or 40 lbs
We know that the name of this stroller has probably already caught your attention, and we are here to assure you it will actually be a much smoother ride than one from a donkey. This is the perfect day to day double stroller if you need something narrow but sturdy and capable of converting into different configurations. It is one of the few double strollers that won’t leave you worrying about fitting through doorways or aisles. Say hello to all those errands you’ve been missing! You can attach two bassinets, two seats, or one of each. The seats can also face forwards or backward, just in case someone needs a little extra attention. It is not the easiest stroller to fold up, but if it’s something you use every day you might not even need to get into that.
Stroller Weight: 33 lbs
Age Range: Newborn to 37 lbs in each chair
Best Double Umbrella Strollers
This is probably my favorite of the double umbrella strollers. It’s pretty sturdy meaning it will last you through some great adventures and/or errands, but still has the compact feel that you want. This stroller is little heavier but ergonomically easy to tote around with a handle, and at least you can count carrying it as your bonus workout. It’s made to fit just about perfectly through any door frame. It has literally everything on the checklist from maneuverability to the 5 point harness, and that’s why a recommend it so highly.
For the price, this stroller is really high quality and will last you a while. The Zoe is one of the lightest weight and smallest folded double umbrella strollers. Despite its super lightweight, it can still comfortably hold even your 4-year-olds. The canopies are awesome and will provide ultimate shade for your babes and the recline really well for nap time. As for accessories a snack tray, drink holder, and great storage, all come along with this umbrella stroller.
While not many double umbrella strollers are a great option for newborns, Joovy got it right. They recline, individually, and turn into an almost bassinet like a seat. It grows super well along with your kiddo and can end up holding up to 50 lbs in each seat. This stroller has pretty much everything on the checklist, including a great canopy and amazing underneath storage. It has safety reflectors, so you can feel more comfortable enjoying late night strolls with your little ones!
There is both a 2016 model and a 2018 model out right now, depending on your budget both make a great choice. Biggest perk, it’s only 24 lbs so you should be able to carry it anywhere. The canopies are top notch and the stroller can stand on its own when you fold it up. This stroller is a great option if you’re kids are a little older as it can hold up to 50 lbs in each seat!
Bang for your buck is what this double umbrella stroller will get you. At just around $55, this super lightweight stroller is a favorite of many parents. The seats recline just enough to get comfy and there is a little bit of a canopy to shade your kiddo from the sun. It’s pretty easy to maneuver and compact. Hello, grocery store aisle! Hello, theme parks!
Some of you are probably big fans of the tandem stroller. Well, this double umbrella stroller is actually a tandem which is pretty rare. It has a lot of checklist items like reclining seats, super compact and easy folding mechanism, and a 5 point harness. Although the seats are a little small and the leg room squishy, so it’s best for smaller or younger kiddos. Bonus, you can fit one car seat in it if need be!
This is another really well-priced stroller making it worth checking out. It’s especially great if you are making this purchase in addition to your other stroller. There are two big cons here; there is no 5 point harness only 3 and there’s no storage basket. Besides those things, it has pretty much everything else going for it. The seats recline a bit, it’s easy to maneuver and transport and the canopies are pretty large.
I love the sleek all-black look of the Maxi Cosi, but more than just looks it’s really easy to push with a middle handle for extra control and has super roomy seats for your babies. It can hold two newborn car seats, which is a pretty unique and useful feature. Its main downfall is that it’s not the lightest of umbrella strollers.
Best Double Jogging Stroller
It’s pricey, but with that price comes the ease of jogging and maneuvering a pretty awesome stroller. It has plenty of storage, is supposed to be comfortable for you to push and for your kids to ride in, and passed all the safety tests with flying colors. Added little bonus; it’s also meant for all terrains making this a great double jogging stroller for moms who enjoy being outside.
Stroller Weight: 33 lbs
Age Range: 8 weeks to 50 lbs per seat
This double jogging stroller is pretty much top of the line and stylish which is a huge plus. It has a ton of storage and zippered in pockets so you won’t lose anything. It also has to mesh pocket cup holders inside for your little ones which is rare for joggers (it’s the little things right?). This double joggers only downfall is that it isn’t great for off-roading so maybe not the choice for hikers.
Stroller Weight: 32 lbs
Age Range: 3 months to 45 lbs per seat
This stroller truly does everything well. While a lot of crossover options make you sacrifice in some way, this double jogging stroller does jogging, all-terrain, or mall strolling with no problem. The seats have a bar down the middle giving your kids lots of support. They also recline all the way back to flat with an easy mechanism for big nappers.
Stroller Weight: 35 lbs
Age Range: maximum capacity of 100 lbs total
This stroller can hold one infant car seat, so it’s a great option for mamas of 2 who just want to purchase one stroller. It’s obviously not meant for you to jog with the infant car seat, but once your baby is old enough for the regular seat it’s perfect for a jog or just running errands. Moms also love that the handlebar includes a drum brake.
Stroller Weight: 31 lbs
Age Range: maximum capacity of 100 lbs total
This double jogging stroller is well worth the price tag. It’s compact when folded, so you can fit it anywhere it needs to go including small trunk spaces. It’s also super comfy for your kiddos and offers tons of storage space. As for safety, the five-point harness will make you feel comfortable that your babies aren’t going anywhere. Make sure the tires are full and this bad boy is a piece of cake to push around.
Stroller Weight: 36 lbs
Age Range: no age/weight minimum on the lowest recline setting to 90 lbs total
This double jogging stroller is a super affordable option coming in right around $200. While the materials are a little lower quality and there are reviews of a little wiggle in the wheels, it’s super lightweight and easy to maneuver. Plus, you can always have someone handy take a look at a wobbly wheel to tighten it or put more air in.
Stroller Weight: 25 lbs
Age Range: maximum of 90 lbs total
This stroller is actually one of the rare tandem double jogging strollers making it perfect for narrow spaces. It goes from single to double pretty easily, so it’s great for families planning on growing. The back can lay down as a mattress while you’ve still got a newborn and then be converted into the second seat.
